Connections and Community

Nevada County Immigrant Rights Network brings together a coalition of local individuals and groups who support the rights and wellbeing of all people in our community, especially immigrants and others who are being targeted for detention and deportation. We stand in solidarity with our vulnerable neighbors and will offer our help, resources, and protection as we are able. We welcome your support! Contact us at: https://www.ncirn.org/contact/

Our Beginnings

Nevada County Immigrant Rights Network grew out of the mission of Earth Justice Ministries, a non-profit based in Nevada City, California, which has worked since 1976 to connect faith to actions that bring hope to the earth, the human family, vulnerable individuals, and the whole community of life through outreach, education and activism. In early 2025, Earth Justice Ministries came together with several other non-profits to create a network that has coalesced to help prevent and address abuses of civil rights and provide services to our immigrant neighbors. Supporting organizations include Color Me Human, Creating Communities Beyond Bias, Earth Justice Ministries, Immigrant Action Alliance, and the Nevada County Peace and Justice Center. Several local churches are also involved.

Earth Justice Ministries continues to act as the fiduciary for the Immigrant Rights Network, and is legally and ethically bound to use donated funds for its stated mission for the sake of immigrants and the local community. This network of individuals and groups exists to "support the rights and well-being of all people in our community." Its mission states, "We stand in solidarity with our vulnerable neighbors and will offer help, resources, and protection as we are able.".

We invite you to join us.

Nuestros Comienzos
